We were in Houston for this trip so it was a must that we stop in at our favorite Chinese frozen dessert shop, May's Ice Cream. They serve warm tofu jelly in ginger syrup and frozen ice dessert. Frozen ice desssert is crushed ice and choice of various tapioca, beans, boiled peanuts, etc. We had red bean, white tapioca pearls, red dates, and taro root. The ice and goodies are drizzled with ginger syrup. I work for a Hong Kong owned company, but was suprised when I described May's to my colleagues and they had no idea what I was talking about. But now we got some photos to show them!
