Ice Cream, my old friend.

Now, that I am in my second trimester all of the first trimester aversions are gone!!! Yea!! Just in time to enjoy the hot weather treat, ice cream!!

There are so many new flavors out now! Lately, we (kids and I) have been addicted to the mini drumsticks by Nestle. They are only 140 calories each and the perfect size for little hands! I love that there are 10 to a box and it's a variety of chocolate or vanilla ice cream cones. They make other varieties too, but we like the basic favorites. Not only are they the perfect size for they kids, they are eaten before the ice cream has a chance to melt and make a mess on their shirts!!

I am also in love with the "birthday cake", "birthday cake batter" phenomenon that is going on with the ice cream flavoring. Ben and Jerry makes a good one, Coldstone creamery has a creation that has cake pieces that takes it over the top, but my favorite has to be the one that Oberweise makes. With one exception, I could do without all the sprinkles in the ice cream because it feels like I'm eating wax. Other than that the flavor is the best!

Haagen Dazs has a new line called Five, because it only contains five ingredients! I'm interested because I love their ice creams, but I haven't found a flavor that is a must try yet. I guess the best test is to go with the classic vanilla.
