Checking in

Hi there,
I know it has been a while since my last post. I have been occupied with getting things together for my son's school benefit. You can see some of the baskets I've put together here
I would like to thank all the businesses (Nielsen-Massey Vanilla, Vosges Haut-Chocolat, Whimsical Candy, Sarah's Candies, Rich Chocolates, Intelligentsia Coffee, DMK Burger Bar,Graham Elliot Restaurant, Mayana Chocolate)   that contributed to the baskets. You guys know that I love all of your products that's why I wanted to share your fantastic yummy treats with others.

I also had the pleasure of working with the great folks at isi North America at the International Home and Housewares Show demonstrating a fun new product called the Twist 'n Sparkle.   I think that if you are a soda drinker or sparkling drink lover, you have to get one of these. I have been off soda for a while, but I use my Twist 'n Sparkle everyday to make my juice, tea and lemonade fizzy. My favorite thing about the at home direct carbonation system is my ability to create my own fizzy beverage.

One of the drinks I created for the show is my Power Punch. It's my version of a after sports health drink. It is just pure juice. No high fructose corn syrup and no artificial colors or flavors added.  The coconut water is great because it contains electrolytes and potassium. The pineapple juice adds vitamin c and goji berry juice has many micro nutrients and phytochemicals.

Power Punch
*makes three 8 oz servings

Ingredients
8 oz of coconut water
8 oz of pineapple juice
8 oz of goji berry juice

Mix juices together and serve over ice, or if you happen to have a Twist 'n Sparkle pour the mixture in there and sparkle it up! You could even turn it into a cocktail by adding flavored rum or flavored vodka (pineapple, coconut, or mango would be good).

I am working on a new blog that will only feature kid stuff. I will try to have that out by April. I have the Spring Benefit to finish first.

I have a couple raw chocolates for an up coming review and a vegan chocolate recipe to share, so keep visiting to see what sweet things I have to share with you!
